Zippo Lava Display!

Though it had a few wounds I could have just installed a new window and be done with it. But it had a couple of dents it didn't spin very well. It needed some TLC. After looking at everything, I decided to restore it. Everything that needs to be replaced can still be bought. So it starts.

There was some writing on the bottom. I don't know if it is factor writing or a vendor writing his passcode. If you have any info on what the numbers mean please send me an email.

6-7-2-95

Those are the numbers on the bottom.

This is the top, it looks a previous owner cut a new top for it. And it looks as if a "Zippo" used to be on top.

Top, view from the back.

Two lights that flash for effects.

It holds 6 Slims, and 10 Regulars.

A plastic front was sent with it but it's not the right size. I will have to replace it.

The center board changes color as it spins.

Each holder is is labeled for a certen Zippo model.

Plastic lining the inside of the display.

Small dent.

Back Shot.

Holders removed. Lucky I didn't break any.

The motor that makes it spin.

The pop rivits holding this on were loose.

Bottom shot.

Worm view of the top.

Holder tree removed.

After cutting the wires. No turning back now.

Motor removed.

Top view of the wire for the lights.

Color inserts removed.

All the parts.

This was written on the bottom. I don't know what it means.

After wet sanding with 300grit.

Dent removed.
