The #1 question I usually get is this.

My Zippo doesn't want to light what can I do?

I've tried adding fuel, change the Wick and Flint and it still doesn't light.

Well to be honest, I don't have a answer. But this is what you can do to trouble shoot some things.

Make sure the Wick is intertwined in the Cotton. (And that the Wick reaches the Felt of the Zippo)

            This will allow the Wick to pull fluid from throughout the Zippo. (Zippo has automated this step, and the wick is crammed at the top of the Insert.)

Make sure your Zippo is full of fuel. (This is what I do. I fill the Zippo till it just starts to drip form the Wick, I put the Felt down and then push it in just a bit with my finger and then dump out the excess. Now I know the Zippo is full.)

Also try stretching the Flint Spring, Just a little (Be careful in doing this.) Just stretch it so it’s about 5mm’s longer. This will help put more pressure on the Flint & Flint Wheel contact.

Last you may want to change out the Flint. I have found over the years that not all Zippo Flints are created equal. Some spark better than others. (But this is my option.)
